GoD Factory: Logo and creative process

This time, we’re taking a look at the tentative GoD Factory logo, and we explain the steps our graphist took to create a distinctive image to present our game.

Here is the first version, created for a business meeting some months ago. The idea was to have deep colors reminiscent of the ocean (the boundless ocean of space) as well as a sweeping line that gives a strong direction to the logo.

The second version was created to make the logo more uniform; the GoD and the Factory  are now in the same hue and they are aligned. To link the two words, this red double-star was placed near the center. Contrasting colors grab the viewer’s attention and the distinctive stars could very well become a recurring theme in the game and in advertising material.

We added more ornate lines and light to create this look of baroque crystal. As the ship and species designs are detail-heavy and we wanted the logo to reflect that. Also note the more saturated blues and reds that add a touch of radiance to the image.

Great job on the logo! I think the first one was cool but laked unicity and somehow a certain “original” touch that would have make him stand out. However the third one look really promising so yeah, keep up the good job ^^
